Inside the Cottage
The Cottage is a 250 year old stone built fisherman’s cottage with a wealth of original features. Located at the heart of Staithes, next to a friendly local pub, the Cottage is a character period property with tastefully integrated mod-cons to make your stay a perfect blend of past and present. Original beams throughout. Oil fired central heating makes the Cottage an ideal year round retreat. Sleeps 4.
Ground floor
Living and dining room: accessed through porch, two comfy sofas surrounding the open stone fireplace with log burner; dining area with antique table and chairs. Window to street. TV, DVD, unlimited free WIFI, IPOD docking, Pay Phone. Passageway to kitchen.
The fully equipped, separate kitchen is very spacious for Staithes, with electric hob and oven (Staithes has no gas).
First floor
Master bedroom:

- Double bed
- Antique wardrobe,
- Built in cupboard
- Original Cast Iron fireplace and sash windows to street.

Bathroom:
- Paneled bath with powerful shower above it, sink and toilet.
Attic bedroom

- With beamed roof, accessed by narrow galley staircase to twin beds
- Velux window and view over rooftops to cliffs. NB: Attic not suitable for people who find steep stairs challenging.
The cottage is comfortable and very very cosy, and has a lovely welcoming feel. It is also a bit of a Tardis-for Staithes it is very very spacious, accomodating 4 people with ease.
